Most of the successful blogs have become communities today. You won’t be surprised to find most of the posts on these blogs attracting hundreds of comments, with many having deeper insights, thoughts, observations and tips.
I wasn’t surprised when I heard Arianna from Huffingtonpost.com allowing ‘Top Commenters’ to become ‘Featured Bloggers’. Anyone who has been using Digg (Digg is literally now a search engine), knows comments on all of the popular posts are insightful and funny. Their comment rating system works almost at par with their voting system.
SingforHim is now a platform for her readers to be the Readers of the week. Every week BornRich invites Cool Geeks and let readers probe them, and these guest bloggers love it. Problogger Darren invites Guest Writers and let them write on his blog when he is on vacations.
Make your blog a platform, and people will love you to give them the spotlight. What goes around comes around. The spotlight will be on you next time.
