Techcrunch had a nice review for the new online video hosting service Click.Tv. The service hasn’t launched yet, but they have demo site thats shows the main functionality and the services. Though there are many similar companies which are offering similar video hosting like YouTube, Click.tv allows its users to add annotations anywhere in the stream, which could be clicked and you can jump right to that part.
Online video is surely fast catching up. Although the bandwidth and picture quality remains biggest obstacle, but with advancement in technology and price of bandwidth coming down, I won`t be surprised in coming days to find video blogging (vblog) as common as blogs today. Indexing video and audio files will be big challenge for search engines. Till now, most of the videos are being searched via tags or text accompanying them.
