Reckless bus drivers take 100s of lives in India every month.

These type of incidents occur because of the punctured law system which is too lame to take a right step, in the right direction, at the right time.

Drivers go reckless because they don’t follow the safety code while driving, but the ultimate blame rests on the law because no one fears it anymore.

Strict laws are needed.

This is indeed tragic and could have been avoided. Bus drivers like airplane pilots and even private chauffeurs carry the responsibility of lives other than their own. Driving in the hills need responsible people.

The tragedy is that the driver if escaped death would be charged with negligent driving causing death and would escape with a sub-1000 rupee fine and a mild prison sentence. Most of the drivers drive while drunk.

Probably there might be another reason behind this tragedy. A few years back a bus accident took place in Andhra Pradesh when the driver was trying to avoid hitting a domesticated animal let loose on the roads. The driver probably might have died in this accident and it is very convenient to blame him now.

Yes sometimes it is not the drivers fault, but mostly it is.
