I love Bollywood movies and love to read reviews on Internet before going to watch them. Reviews are always mixed, sometimes you agree with them sometimes you don`t. I generally used to read Refiff reviews, but now I am finding the rediff movie reviews going bad to absolutely senseless.
I have in past enjoyed movies like “Shootout At Lokhandwala” which according to Rediff deserves only 1 and half stars out of 5. But this time its above my understanding that how can they give an Indian Classic “Naya Daur” which has been digitally remastered and released in colourised version a rating of 3, while another boring run of the mill comedy “Partner” a rating of 3 and a half. The song “Yeh Desh hai Veer Jawaano Ka” is religiously played in every Indian wedding and the movie itself is a Timeless masterpiece. Anyone who watch Indian movies, will no doubt find this movie as entertaining as our parent found it 50 years ago.
I know for people who swear by Imran Hashmi and Himesh Reshammiyaa, digesting a movie like ‘Naya Daur’ and listening to its songs might be no less than some sort of dreadful punishment, but for rest of others I firmly believe this movie deserves to be in one of best movies of Indian Cinema for all age alike, and is above all rediff ratings.
