This is unsustainable. To set up mass production units of this car means millions of dollars in investments etc. Besides, the road worthiness of the Nano is yet to be tested. So, there is no reason to go head over heels about this car yet.

Automotive engineers in every part of the country have tried to beat the Nano at its own game. However, it would take more than just technical brilliance to combine frugal engineering with Aesthetics - something Tata has always managed to do. The alternative might cost 11,000, but I don’t see how it can compete with the Nano!

’Piece of Crap’, what a crappy way to appreciate the efforts of some real geniuses. It is surprising that a car priced at $2500 gets lauded heavily and then you dub an even cheaper product as crap. Even the Nano deserves a similar rant, for it cannot conquer the terrains in my village, what good is it then as a car.
